What should I wear during the walks?
Comfortable walking shoes that can be slipped off easily at temple thresholds (socks are recommended for hot stone floors). Modest attire covering shoulders and knees is mandatory to enter traditional shrines. A light scarf or shawl is helpful for morning mist.
Are photography and filming permitted?
Photography is warmly welcomed across the ghats, markets, and alleyways. However, out of profound spiritual dignity and respect for the bereaved, photography is strictly forbidden at the cremation grounds of Manikarnika and Harishchandra Ghats, as well as inside certain inner sanctums.
How physically demanding are the walks?
Our walks cover between 2.5 to 4 kilometers at an unhurried, contemplative pace with regular pauses for hydration, tea, and philosophical reflection. While there are ancient stone stairs and uneven cobblestones, Shubham adjusts the pace to match the comfort of each guest.
What payment methods are accepted?
